Well done, Peter Bonney (Oxford Mail, April 21), for highlighting the issues about our forgotten estate at Wood Farm in Oxford.

If the kids haven't anything to do, why are they being blamed?

It's the boredom and lack of serious amenities available to these kids.

The kids I know from the estate are always polite and pleasant.

The old saying is to get respect, you've got to give respect.

Well now, who's to blame? We adults. They are kids with nothing to occupy them.

Instead of laying the blame on them, let's see our long-awaited, much-needed leisure facilities.

Other estates seem to be well catered for, except Wood Farm and Rose Hill. Where are our leisure centres and so on?

To solve the problem is easy -- eradicate the boredom and stop putting the blame on the easy targets.

One word to the councillors -- get off your butts and do something about leisure facilities, or lack of them, which is really the problem.

Kids aren't angels, but what is truly to blame? I'll tell you -- it's the lack of something to do. This causes hassle in itself.

Put an animal in a cage with nothing and that animal won't like it, and it's the same for people. Well said, Mr Bonney.
