A spin-off group from the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is coming to Banbury, thanks to the support of sponsors Mitchells and Butlers.
Six members of the orchestra will perform as the Little Big Time Band at St. Mary's Church, on Thursday, May 19, at 7.45pm. The unique ensemble was formed in 1996. Its shows are described as informal and include solos from the highly accomplished players interspersed with anecdotes from their experiences in the CBSO.
The musicians play a variety of instruments including clarinet, saxophone, violin, piano, double bass, trumpet, flugel horn, and drums.
Tickets are available from the Banbury tourist information centre, telephone 01295 259855, or online at www.livearts-at-stmarys.co.uk
