GLS Hellenic League: Didcot Town's Premier Division title challenge is now out of their hands.

Last night's 1-0 defeat at Abingdon United means that Stuart Peace's men trail Highworth by a point, going into tomorrow's final matches of the league season.

Didcot must win at Fairford Town and hope that Highworth either draw or lose away to already-relegated Wootton Bassett.

Under Peace, the Railwaymen have had a stunning season, culminating in them reaching the FA Vase final.

But now nine months of hard work hinges on tomorrow's results.

Peace has said all season that the league was Didcot's priority, and throughout the club's run to the Vase final, he has been focusing on promotion to the Southern League.

He said: "The league has been our ultimate goal. We had a lot of changes this season, but when the season started panning out, we realised we had a chance.

"As it progressed, we set our target to win the league, and we've been in there throughout.

"Obviously our cup runs have been a distraction, but we have stayed focused and it's amazing to think that it has all come down to this.

"It's been a pleasure to work with the players this season. They've been absolutely fantastic for us, and deserve to be rewarded."

If Highworth do slip up at Wootton, which seems highly unlikely, Didcot would take the Premier Division crown for the first time since the league's inaugural season in 1953.

North Leigh host Almondsbury Town, and may welcome back Joe Burnell, who has been sidelined with a knee injury for six weeks.

Andy McCabe is suspended.

Ardley United, who are safe from the drop, will be at full strength away to Wantage Town.

Carterton will be without Karl Dodds (unavailable) and the injured Paul Sherwood (hamstring) for their trip to Chipping Norton Town.

Bicester Town will be without the unavailable pair of Vinny Byfield and Arek Lewandowski for their trip to Hungerford.

In Division 1 West, Kidlington will be without Craig Bloomfield and Brendan Quinn for their final game at home to Ross Town.

Luke Holden, Carl Bloomfield and Simon Grossmann face fitness tests.
