Six fire crews raced to tackle a kitchen fire in a tower block in Blackbird Leys this evening.
Oxfordshire fire and rescue service was called to a 10th floor flat in Windrush Tower, Knights Road, shortly after 6pm.
Engines from Rewley Road, the Slade, Headington and Abingdon attended the scene as a precaution, but no-one was injured.
A spokesman for the service said it was standard procedure to send six appliances to this type of incident because of the nature of the building.
