A 25-year-old man was found seriously injured at the bottom of a Banbury stairwell.
Police are appealing for witnesses after officers were called to Ruscote Arcade, in Longelandes Way, at 11.10pm on Monday.
A 24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent was in police custody last night.
