REFERRING to Keith Mitchell’s letter (Oxford Mail, February 18), it was strange that he should suggest that full-time firefighters were only against the shift changes because of the impact on their second jobs.
He made it seem as if their opposition to the cuts was fuelled by their own monetary greed.
Oxfordshire Fire Service relies on many full-time firefighters to also give part-time fire cover in certain areas of the county. Is that second job okay with Mr Mitchell? PAUL HENNEY, Delbush Avenue, Sandhills, Oxford
