Jade Parr, 22, of Elder Way, Oxford, convicted of drink-driving in Abingdon Road, Oxford, on August 8. Namely having 172mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. Fined £150 and told to pay costs of £150 and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Also banned from driving for 20 months, reducible by five months on completion of a course.

John Phelan, 18, of Oliver Road, Oxford, admitted criminally damaging a BMW 118D to the value of £3,000 and possession of a six-inch knife in a public place on December 27. Given a four-week curfew and a three-month supervision order. Also told to pay £20 costs.

Gyles Wenman, 33, of Harpers Road, Aldershot, Hants, admitted possessing a machete in St Aldate’s, Oxford, on October 2. Given a three-month curfew and told to pay £65 costs.

Andrew Campbell, 46, of Robsart Place, Cumnor, convicted of four counts of common assault in Abingdon on August 3. Told to do 60 hours’ unpaid work and pay £500 costs.

Marko Duvnjak, 24, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing £20 cash from a person on August 4. Told to have treatment for drug dependency for six months and given a 12-month supervision order. Also told to pay £20 compensation.

Ian Telfer, 28, of Divinity Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting toiletries valued at £23 from Boots in Oxford on January 19. Fined £80 and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

John Gandy, 38, of Rutland Close, Liverpool, admitted possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious substance, namely capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin, and possessing 643mg of cocaine in Botley on January 15. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Ian Wylie, 32, of Old Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a £40 gift set from Starbucks in Oxford on November 20 and asked for three other offences to be taken into consideration. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £101 compensation and £30 costs.

Phillip Radley, 21, of The Grates, Oxford, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Oxford on December 19. Given a three-month curfew and three months’ supervision and a restorative justice requirement. Also told to carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work and pay £180 compensation.

Naomi McCollin, 21, of Blay Close, Oxford, admitted shoplifting toiletries valued at £60.44 from Boots and going equipped for theft (namely having a foil-lined bag) in Oxford on September 25. Given a 12-month supervision order with a six-month alcohol-rehabilitation requirement.

Naveed Akhtar, 24, of Westbury Crescent, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and obstructing or resisting a constable in Oxford High Street on November 20. Given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 15 months. Banned from driving for a year and told to carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work.

Courtney Austin, 21, of Cornwallis Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by breaching a curfew. Order extended by four weeks and told to pay £20 costs.

Paul Joyce, 27, of Red Bridge Hollow, Oxford, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on December 27. Fined £25 and told pay £60 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Dominic O’Neill, 68, of no fixed address, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely Bath Street in Abingdon, on January 28. Fined £50 and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Money considered paid by detention in the court for the day.

Matthew Brain, 23, of Wolsey Road, Oxford, admitted using words or behaviour to give a fear of unlawful violence in Oxford on Christmas Eve. Given a three-month curfew and a 12-month supervision order, and told to pay £65 costs.

Denise Lemonius, 43, of Balfour Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a £64.99 pair of jeans from Republic in Oxford on January 18. Fined £100 and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Jason O’Brien, 24, of Brookside Estate, Chalgrove, admitted failing to stop after a road accident on the A4074 Henley Road in Oxford and failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Abingdon Police Station on January 17. Told to do 100 hours’ unpaid work and pay £85 costs. Also banned from driving for 12 months, reducible by three months on completion of a course.
