THE public are being urged to have their say over where future housing in Banbury should be built.
Cherwell District Council’s plans for new houses in the town will go out for an eight-week public consultation from February 22.
Proposals will be available to view online and at libraries.
Up to 1,200 homes are set to be built at Canalside, 400 to the west of Bretch Hill and 400 more to the south of Bankside.
Banbury United Football Club will relocate to Bankside under the proposals, while two areas of 400 homes have been allocated on land near Warwick Road and Hanwell Fields.
Cherwell district councillor Michael Gibbard said: “We are making sure we give residents every opportunity to express their views.”
Details will be available online, from February 22.
