ONE lane of the northbound A34 has been closed following a five car collision.

Eight adults and one child are believed to have been injured in the incident.

Police were called at 1.45pm to reports of an accident between Kidlington and Islip on the northbound carriageway, and the fast lane has now been closed.

Police spokesman Alice Adderley said it did not look as if any of the injuries were serious but added: “It’s early days.”

Fire crews and paramedics also attended.

Police do not yet know when the full carriageway will be reopened.
