Police are appealing for information after a Jeep Cherokee was stolen in a burglary at a property in Pudsey Close, Abingdon.
Between 11.30pm on Saturday and 8.45am on Sunday, thieves stole the keys to the car by reaching through the letter box. The car was found by police a few hours later on fire in Peep-o-Day Lane, which is just off Lambrick Way.
PC Paul Reece said: “I would like to remind residents to keep their car keys in a safe place and encourage anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time the house was burgled to contact the police.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Reece at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
