THE family of a 26-year-old woman killed in a car crash have described her as a “wonderful person”.

Jane Sandalls, of Woodstock, died after a collision on the B4437 Woodstock Road, Charlbury, at about 8.20am on Thursday, January 21.

A statement released by her family yesterday said: “Jane was a wonderful person.

“She was tragically taken away from us and has left a huge hole in our lives. Jane was an extremely helpful and giving person who was always there for you.

“She touched so many people’s lives and there was absolutely nothing bad about her.

“Jane will be sadly missed by all her family, friends and anyone who was lucky enough to know her.”

Ms Sandalls died when her blue Volkswagen Polo was involved in a collision with a blue Peugeot 106 at the junction with New Barn Farm and Woodstock Road.

Floral tributes were left at the road shortly after the accident, including a note from her father that read: “I will keep on loving you until we are reunited, Dad xxx.”

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He was released on bail until Thursday, March 25.

Police want anyone with information to contact officers on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
