POLICE and firefighters are trying to free a person trapped in a car after a crash near Tackley.
A red Toyota Carina and a white Mercedes Sprinter van collided on the A4260 Oxford Road, outside the Sturdy's Castle Inn, shortly before 4.30pm today.
The road is currently closed both ways, causing severe congestion in the area and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
One person was arrested at the scene, although the Thames Valley Police press office was unable to explain why.
Two other people are being treated for injuries by South Central Ambulance paramedics.
