I FEEL I must set the record straight for your readers concerning the Quality Bus Partnership, a key element of Transform Oxford.
The county council is delighted that after working with the two major bus companies we were able to announce a new partnership that will improve life for everybody in Oxfordshire, not just bus users.
Councillor Zoe Patrick did put a motion to council in April 2008 but the legalisation required was not in until December 2008.
If the council had followed Cllr Patrick’s idea then it would have been restricted to a small part of the county using outdated and obsolete technology – something the Liberals are all about.
