Oxford Bus Company is running a similar service to Friday.

A spokesman said: "We are now running along Wayneflete Road in Barton which means the City8 is running along the whole of its normal route in Barton. The Brookesbus U1 is now serving Harcourt Hill and the High Street in Wheatley."

"We are running on all of our local City routes, Brookesbus and on the Park and Ride services We estimate though that we are now serving over 97 per cent of our route mileage but there are still some problems once we leave the main roads.

"Our reconnaissance team is out on the affected routes assessing the conditions on a regular basis, constantly checking all the routes and reporting back to our control room staff. We will restore services just as soon as we can safely do so."

The firm said espress service to London and the airline services to Heathrow and Gatwick are running well.

The following services are running over most of their routes but missing out impassable roads...

City4 Not serving, Elms Rise, Dean Court or Sandleigh Court.

City 6 Not serving Wolvercote.

City9 City – Risinghurst , 9 services are turning at Green Rd Roundabout.

City13 Not serving Northway.

City35 Not serving Kennington or Radley buses are going via Lodge Hill; Twelve Acre Drive.

CityX2 Not serving Didcot Broadway, it is terminating at Didcot Rail Station.

The Brookesbus U1 service is running although it is not able to reach the Wheatley Campus but is running along Church Road.

Meanwhile, First Great Western has said it expects to run a normal timetable this weekend, although it is worth checking the company's website for potential changes caused by the weather and engineering works.

Chiltern Railways has also warned of the potential for short-notice delays and changes - again, the advice is to check before you travel.
