The snow and ice is still creating dangerous driving conditions for drivers across Oxfordshire this morning.

A car overturned on the northbound carriageway of the M40 between junction seven for Thame and junction eight for Oxford.

The accident at 7am caused delays for drivers but the road is now clear.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance said: “We were alerted to the accident but then told by the Highways Agency that the driver was not seriously injured, so we didn’t have to attend.”

Lorries also got stuck in the snow at junction nine of the M40, and at Chieveley on the A34, and the routes have been cleared.

The Oxford Bus Company is running a similar service to yesterday morning but is now serving the Barton estate, except for Waynflete Road.
