A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after armed police swooped on a car spotted in Lansdown Close, Easington, Banbury, yesterday at about 10.30pm by a police automatic number plate recognition system.
The vehicle was wanted by Cambridgeshire Police in connection with an incident outside a nightclub in St Neots on December 18.
Jack Smith, 27, of St Neots, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm and remanded in custody.
