Holidaymakers will be able to jet off to Rome from London Oxford Airport after a deal was signed with the Swiss carrier Baboo who will operate the flights via Geneva.
Flights will cost from £101 each way.
The service begins on Saturday, December 19, with passengers able to board Baboo flights to Geneva and then board an Alitalia service to Rome with a one and a half our stop-over in Switzerland.
The airport’s marketing manager James Dillon Godfray said: “We hope this will be of interest to the Oxford-based Italian community, Italian students and academics, language schools and those doing business between these two great cities.”
The service comes just two months after the airport’s first scheduled international services to Geneva were announced.
Flights are available on Expedia, Opodo and Lastminute.com
