The Museum of Oxford is safe for another year after councillors agreed to give it a further £120,000 to keep it open until 2011.
Councillors last night approved the additional funding to the museum, pictured, at the executive board meeting of the ruling Labour administration at the Town Hall.
The Oxford Mail reported last month how a government cash boost meant money could be redirected to help the museum.
The final decision will be made when next year’s budget is approved.
