A MAN who downloaded hundreds of pornographic images of children was today given a supervision order.
Richard Hastie, 55, of Upper Barr, Cowley, admitted making indecent images of children.
Following a police investigation of a legitimate astronomy website, which had been hijacked to supply illegal pictures, Hastie’s computer was seized and 154 images of level one seriousness – level five being the most serious – were found with 12 level two images, 33 level three images and 38 level four images. He had also searched terms including “youngest teens and youngest teen models.”
Hastie was given a three-year supervision order and put on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
