WHAT a shame the Borders bookshop chain is in trouble.
I’ve always liked the one in Oxford, because as well as being more affordable than Waterstone’s, it stays open in the evenings. This is handy if you want to avoid the crowds at the weekends or spend time in town without going to a pub.
