TOO often we hear bad news about Britain’s pub industry.
You know the type of thing — struggling landlords forced to sell up, the rising cost of beer, binge drinking blighting lives.
How refreshing then to be able to report on something positive about the brewing industry.
Anyone who has been to the Royal Oak in Wantage will probably be pleased as punch – or perry – that it has been recognised for its excellence.
Great beers, a welcoming atmosphere and a real community feel have made the boozer one of the best in the country.
Let us all be proud that we live near such a great advert for the British way of life.
