A wet and windy morning saw a great game of football, where Kidlington ended O.C.C.s cup run. The game started with both teams trying hard to break the deadlock. It was Kidlington who struck first with a great goal by Will Newcombe, striking from distance, the ball scimming into the bottom left hand corner of the net. The pitch was very small so there was loads of corners and throwings as the ball was put out of play on numerous occasions. Kidlington found that they could shoot from distance. At this point KYFC were playing some great football, but O.C.C. had there chances causing Will Spackman making some great saves. But it was Kidlington that struck next, with a great individual goal by Ciaran Murphy, shooting low and hard in the bottom corner again.

Kidlington continued to have the most possesion, and O.C.C. were pleased to see half time.

The second half saw a complete difference, with O.C.C. coming out fighting, and Kidlington were slow to get back into their stride. The colts trying hard to get on the score sheet, and Will Spackman's bravery called on many times, and getting injured in the process. Kidlington had still not woke up, when O.C.C. got one back, with some terrible defending by Kidlington, and a week shot by Kian Farrell, causing the ball to drible through Will's legs, and over the line. The game had changed and O.C.C. battled hard to get an equalizer, where Kidlington's play had fallen apart. There were a few anxious moments for Kidlington as they continued to hold on. There seemed no end to the extra time that was put on the end of the match, but finally the whistle blew and Kidlington came away with the win.
