A woman died following a crash on a West Oxfordshire road last night.
At about 5.43pm there was a collision between a red VW Golf and a black Vauxhall Astra on the B4022, Fawler Road, between Charlbury and Finstock.
The driver of the Astra, a 53-year-old woman from Finstock, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the VW, a 34-year-old man from Berinsfield, was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury with serious injuries. He is in a stable condition and is expected to undergo surgery this morning.
Police said they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have any other information in relation to the incident.
