THESE are some of the pupils and staff at Blackbird Leys Primary School, in Oxford.

They posed for one of those popular panoramic photographs in the school grounds in 1965.

The picture was taken just six years after the school had opened, with just 94 pupils.

In that time, it had expanded rapidly, and by 1968, the roll had increased to 1,200 children, in 42 classes.

The second and third sections of the picture will be published soon in Memory Lane.
