AN alcoholic has been banned from a series of roads after threatening and intimidating people.

Karl Kuhne, 31, has been given a three-year antisocial behaviour order (asbo) by Banbury magistrates, preventing him from entering Bartsia Road, Galingale Close, Bure Park, and Hertford Close in Bicester.

Since June this year, Kuhne, pictured right, of Jerome Way, Shipton-on-Cherwell, near Kidlington, has been accused of making drunken threats and abusing residents of those streets, including people on their own doorsteps. His mother lived in Bartsia Road, and he had acquaintances in Galingale Close and Hertford Close – which includes a large area of elderly people’s bungalows.

One neighbour, who did not want to be named, welcomed the asbo, saying: “It mainly started over noise and then there were a lot of arguments.

“He came to stay with his mother and played his music really loud. He didn’t care.”

The neighbour said Kuhne’s behaviour had affected many people.

Another neighbour, who also asked to remain anonymous, said: “He was only rude to me once, but he has caused a lot of trouble.”

Banbury Magistrates’ Court heard that some residents were so intimidated by his behaviour they feared he may attack them.
