Over the past 10 years, I have seen standards of driving slip to an all-time low.
There is bad parking on yellow lines and in disabled spaces, people talking on mobile phones, no indicating, and even people allowed to leave their cars on the footpath – regardless of how older people, those in wheelchairs, or children coming out of schools are going to get by.
Several streets in and around Wantage have double-yellow lines, yet so many cars park on them all day they block the road for buses and lorries.
A car often parks outside my house with no road tax, and nothing is done. Yet if you are caught throwing a cigarette on the ground, you will be fined.
