A 24-year-old man has been charged with possession of both class-A and class-B drugs with intent to supply after police mounted a drugs raid in Bicester.

Officers from the Bicester neighbourhood team carried out the warrant at a property in Bartsia Road at about 8.45am on Saturday, where they found a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and herbal cannabis.

Lee Luke, of Trevor Crescent, Ruislip, Middlesex, was arrested by officers at the property and appeared at Banbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He was remanded in custody until November 25, when he will appear back at the court for a committal hearing.

PC Si Rowett, neighbourhood specialist officer for Bicester, said: “We know that local people are concerned about drugs in the town and we are committed to tackling the problems.

“We rely on information from the local community and I would urge local people to contact us via 0845 8 505 505 or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111 to keep us informed.”
