A BAND from one of Oxford’s twin cities will return this Christmas – complete with their Santa suits.
Feestkapel Decibel band, pictured, from Leiden in Holland, has been invited back for the festive parade and Christmas lights switch-on.
It comes a year after a mix-up meant the musicians thought they were not allowed to wear the suits.
This year’s celebrations are on Friday, November 27.
Don Rouse, deputy president of the Oxford-Leiden Link, said: “We have had to work very hard to get them over to Oxford again, but now I am very happy to say they will be leading one of the parades.”
City council leader Bob Price said he wasn’t aware the Santa suits had been banned last year, adding: “They can wear what they like, I don’t think people mind too much what they wear. It would nice to see them in Santa suits.”
The band will also play a free evening concert at Wolvercote Youth Centre on Saturday, November 28.
