A "PROFESSIONAL shoplifter” was jailed today after stealing more than £2,000 worth of clothes from Bicester Village.

Mother-of-two Kim Hardwick, 52, admitted carrying eight pairs of jeans, worth a total of £2,164, out of Rock Couture on January 26, 2008.

Hardwick, of Brereton Way, Bristol, who has 21 convictions for 42 offences, was found hiding in bushes by security staff.

At Oxford Crown Court, Recorder Richard Hamlin said Hardwick could be “fairly described as a professional shoplifter” who was “fuelled by drug addiction”.

She was jailed for 14 weeks including eight weeks for breaching a previous suspended sentence and six weeks for this offence.
