PEOPLE in Kidlington got funky with the help of dance instructor George Martini to raise about £400 for Children in Need.

Mr Martini said 70 people took part in the Zumba jam at Kidlington sports centre in Oxford Road.

Dancers, including children and pensioners, paid £5 to take part in the hour-long session on Saturday.

Kaye Everatt, a teaching assistant who lives near Faringdon, said: “It was a fantastic session and it was for a good cause.

“I do Zumba three times a week now.

“It’s very addictive.”

Mr Martini said: “Zumba is a crazy latino party workout and everyone had a great time.”
