CONGESTION on the A34 between Oxford and Newbury has increased by 16 per cent during the past year, according to a survey conducted by Trafficmaster.
Congestion has also increased on the western sector of the M25, but has fallen on the southern part of the M1, according to the routefinding service.
Trafficmaster compared figures for October 2008 and October this year.
Spokesman Georgina Read said: “Increased congestion may be indicative of the start of economic recovery.”
