A woman was rescued from a house in Didcot last night.
Two fire crews from the town were called to the property in Richmere Road shortly before 7pm.
They discovered the woman, an adult, unconscious on the floor of the living room.
She had suffered smoke inhalation and was treated with oxygen at the scene.
A smoke alarm had alerted neighbours to the fire, which started in the property's kitchen.
