A WITNEY sausage-maker hopes a local ingredient will be the key to winning a national competition.
Densham Butchers, in High Street, is aiming to win the Britain’s Most Magical Banger contest. The shop, which has been in the town for more than 60 years, has entered sausages made with Wychwood Brewery’s Black Wych beer, brewed in the town.
Clinton Rudd, owner of Densham’s, said: “We’re extremely proud to have made it this far in the competition and have high hopes for our sausage.”
The contest is part of British Sausage Week, which ends tomorrow.
