In a superb game of football Sharks eventually ran out 4-3 winners against Ardington.

Ardington started the stronger and forced a succession of corners that were well dealt with by Joe Wright in the home goal. Gradually Sharks found their feet in the game and started to mount their own attacks. A fine save by the Ardington keeper caused an injury and he had to be replaced. However the Sharks found the new stand in equally difficult to beat. The Sharks attack was now working well though and eventually a ball ran to Connor Madden in the box and he finished well to make it 1-0. Despite further pressure there was no more scoring before half-time.

Ardington now really took the game to Sharks and soon after half-time were level after a good move drew the defence and a slide pass to Michael Moss was finished to the keepers right to make it 1-1. Ardington’s passing now moved to another level and a superb move eventually saw to ball moved to Jaden Wilkins who scored in the top corner. A further goal from Wilkins after a similar slick passing move made it 1-3 to Ardington and Sharks looked down and out. However a long ball through the middle ran to Dany Ziada who sprinted away to score to make it 2-3.

This really lifted the Sharks who now looked a new team and Connor Madden set off on a mazy run down the left wing, he cut into the box and fired home the equaliser low to the keeper’s left. The game now ebbed and flowed between the teams and either team could have gone on to win. However with time running out Sydney Njoroge picked up the ball in midfield and surged forward, reaching the edge of the box he slipped the ball to Connor Madden who scored to make it 4-3.

An excellent game of football played by both teams involved. All should be proud of their contribution.
