I was very concerned to read about the traders’ plight in Magdalen Road if the controlled parking scheme goes ahead.
The Goldfish Bowl faces closure after 57 years of trading. The Goldfish Bowl is the most wonderful aquatic store that is an integral part of the community.
The shop welcomes parties of schoolchildren to visit and admire the beautiful tropical fish.
The street will be an impoverished place without this interesting shop.
We, the local residents, should do the decent thing and give our support to our local businesses.
Our community will be so much the poorer if these businesses are sold and turned into the inevitable ugly blocks of flats.
