Steve Goddard says, in Friday’s Oxford Mail, that Labour has stolen its ideas from the Liberal Democrats.

But who knows what those ideas are? In 2005 the Lib Dems promised an extra penny on income tax to invest in education. Now they talk of savage cuts in public spending, threatening pay and pension freezes for frontline workers in health and other services.

In 2005 they opposed an unpopular war. Now they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the other parties on Afghanistan.

What exactly are they asking people to vote for?
