Great game between two evenly matched sides. Both went hammer and tongs from the start and there were chances at both ends. Blackbirds took the lead when a great through ball was latched onto by Rahul Mattu who beat the keeper from close range.
Wantage created some great chances but were repeatedly denied by some great saves from Blackbirds keeper Dean O'Malley. With 10 minutes to go Luke Ulyatt was brought down inside the box and Sean Cooper made no mistake from the spot to bring Concords level. In the end 1-1 was probably a fair result in a competitive game played in a good spirit.
