GARDENERS Joy and David McCarthy have set up a blog to share advice with other gardeners.
The couple, of Lords Piece Road, Chipping Norton, took over their half-sized plot at the Burford Road allotments two years ago Now, each week ,they are keeping readers informed of their horticultural progress online at copywritersallotment.wordpress.
com Mother-of-three Mrs McCarthy said: “We wanted to have a written record, as well as a photographic one, of our work on the allotment.
“With the large number of younger people and families now queuing up to have allotments, a blog is a good way of ensuring that vital information is passed on. and swapped.”
The couple, who both work as copywriters, have also been recording the weights of their harvest on the blog.
As well as the online diary and allotment tips, a recipe section is also being developed on the blog.
