Police today renewed an appeal for witnesses to a collision in which a 74-year-old man was seriously injured in Didcot.
At about 10.10pm on Tuesday, a black Saab collided with the man in Lydalls Road.
The 74-year-old was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with serious injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
PC Ed Turner said: “I would like to hear from anyone that may have seen the pedestrian or the vehicle prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision itself.
“I would especially like to hear from a boy on a bike who was at the scene but left before officers arrived.
"He is believed to be between 13 and 17 years old. I would urge him to come forward as he may be able to assist me with the investigation.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Turner at Abingdon Roads Policing base via 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to talk to police or leave your name, please contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
