I AM writing in response to a previous letter written in the Oxford Mail, asking readers to give their response to closure of certain toilets in the city centre.
Money-saving object, oh no? The idea of having closures in the city centre shouldn’t be given the time of day.
The everyday people who shop in the city, not to mention tourists from coaches and disabled people certainly need toilets.
Also, have they thought about the annual St Giles’ Fair, held in the city centre, when hundreds of people come in from all different places?
The thought of no toilets in a city centre is unbelievable.
The Covered Market, which caters for users of the market and shoppers, only just manages now. That has to provide a service anyway.
Get your money from somewhere else – charges for car parking are excessive, so I am sure you councillors will dream up something else for cash.
