CHILD sex attacker Brian Hoverd is now being investigated by police over allegedly staging a burglary, the Oxford Mail can reveal.

The 46-year-old, pictured, is in custody awaiting sentence after being convicted by a jury of repeatedly raping a young girl in the late 1980s and early 1990s when she was aged between three and nine-years-old.

The paedophile was also found guilty of grabbing and raping a girl in a churchyard and committing a string of indecent assaults on young girls.

Hoverd moved from his family home in Charterville Close, in Minster Lovell, near Witney, earlier this year after he was0 charged with 11 counts of rape and 11 indecent assaults on young girls. He was found guilty of seven rapes and 10 assaults.

It has now emerged the former farm worker reported to police that a burglar had broken into his new Carterton home between 6pm and 9.55pm on May 10.

Police were told burglars stole hundreds of pounds of electrical equipment, including Hoverd’s laptop computer, scanner, binoculars, camera, wide angle lenses and a tripod.

Two weeks later police arrested Hoverd on suspicion of fraud. The case is being reviewed by the CPS.
