Former farm worker Brian Hoverd was today convicted of raping a young girl six times and dragging another girl into a graveyard and raping her.
A jury at Oxford Crown Court found Hoverd, 46, of Charterville Close, Minster Lovell, west Oxfordshire, guilty of seven charges of rape — six on one girl when she was aged between three and nine, during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Hoverd, a father of one, was also convicted of the rape of a teenage girl about 20 years ago and indecently assaulting a third girl, who was just five years old.
He was cleared of three other charges of rape.
Hoverd had denied 11 charges of rape and 11 of indecent assault at the start of his trial at Oxford Crown Court.
The jury failed to reach a verdict on one rape charge.
Hoverd was found guilty of 10 charges of indecent assault and not guilty on one charge.
