Police tonight appealed for witnesses following a fatal crashon the A4074 between Littlemore and Nuneham Courtenay.
The collision involving a green Honda Civic and a blue VW Touareg happened at about 3pm today.
The Honda was travelling towards Nuneham Courtenay and the VW in the other direction.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a man from Reading in his late twenties, was declared dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Touareg, two men, were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed off in both directions for several hours.
