A man was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital after his Ford Fiesta flipped and landed on its roof on the A420 near Botley.
The lone driver was treated as a precaution after the car hit the embankment and collided with a tree.
His injuries were not thought to be serious and no other vehicles were involved.
The incident took place at 1.30pm, with a stretch of the westbound carriageway reduced to one lane for more than an hour after causing lengthy tailbacks.
