Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision that occurred yesterday on the B480 Watlington Road in Garsington.

The collision, which happened at about 4.50pm, involved two white Ford Transit vans, a grey Peugeot 406 and a blue Peugeot 306.

All of the drivers and one passenger suffered injuries and were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The driver of the Peugeot 306, a 31-year-old man from Chinnor, remains in hospital with serious leg injuries.

The driver of the Peugeot 406, a 32-year-old man from Oxford, also remains in hospital with a serious shoulder injury.

Part of the Watlington Road was closed until 10.20pm to allow the vehicles to be recovered and collision investigators to attend the scene.

PC Murray Maclean said: “I would like to hear from anyone that may have seen any of the vehicles prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision itself.

“I would especially like to speak to the driver of a red car who I understand may have witnessed the collision but did not stop to give their details.”
