Police are searching for a cyclist who allegedly picked up his bicycle and smashed it into a car windscreen in a road rage incident.

The cyclist is believed to have been involved in an altercation with the driver of a silver Ford Fiesta near the West Way/Church Way area of Botley, Oxford, at about 5pm on Friday, July 17.

The 41-year-old woman driving the car and the cyclist had an argument in the street before the rider allegedly picked up his red mountain bike and used it to smash the front windscreen of the Fiesta, before cycling off towards Westminster Way.

He was described as white, with light hair, about 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, in his mid to late 20s, and was wearing a dark top.

Pc Andy Matheson said: “This is a particularly violent and upsetting incident which has left the driver extremely shaken and with serious damage to her car, rendering it undriveable.
