I HAVE just returned from recycling the plastic containers which are unacceptable in either box.

My nearest point is in Headington, behind the Waitrose store. But each time I go, I am appalled by the filthy state of that area of the car park and, especially, by the bins themselves.

Often, the front ones are full. But to reach to the others behind involves getting over and around stuff which has been dumped – and avoiding touching the filthy bins with any part of one’s clothing. Does no-one care? Would it not be possible to hose down the bins now and again?

I cannot be the only person who has noticed, but has anyone else complained?
