R Huggins (Oxford Mail letters, 23 July) has confused two different eco-town proposals.
It was the Weston-Otmoor proposal, mercifully now rejected, that promised to improve the M40/A34 junction.
Although as a result of that proposal the issues have tended to become confused, they are in reality separate issues.
The Wendlebury junction is already severely congested at times and is in need of improvement regardless of whether or not an eco-town is built.
