Boxing, face painting, circus skills and teams from the emergency services attracted hundreds to a community fun day in Abingdon.
The event, at Preston Road Community Centre on Saturday, marked the opening of the refurbished play area at Southern Town Park.
It was organised by The Vale Partnership, set up by police and other emergency services and councils.
Hundreds turned up for the official opening of the playground followed by a public display and fun day.
Toby Warren, one of the organisers, said: “We were lucky with the weather and several hundred people came out and had a fun time.
“It had a great community feel – we’ll look at how well the day did and see if we can do it again next year.”
Other fun events included displays from Abingdon Town Amateur Boxing Club, Zumba dancing, face-painting, wrestling, Tai-Chi, lace making and juggling.
