A taxi-driver was robbed of his takings by his own customers.
The 46-year-old taxi driver from 001 taxis was dropping off a group of seven men near the White Horse pub in Ock Street, Abingdon, at about 3.30am yesterday morning when they punched him in the face and grabbed £150 in cash.
Police described the men as white and aged in their late teens to early 20s.
The attacker who took the cash was described as aged 20 with dark hair.
The taxi picked the men up from the 001 rank in St Aldate’s. They initially asked to be taken to Didcot, before asking to stop at Abingdon, where the robbery took place.
Dc Rob Underhill said: “The men got the taxi from Oxford and were dropped off in Abingdon.
“We believe that the men could be from the Didcot area.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the offence, or seen these men in Oxford before, or after the robbery happened.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0845 8505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
